Hello Premium Bond holders. I've just had a fine month on the bonds. I won £50 back in April, and my prizes are reinvested automatically. The winnings from April won another £50 this month, so I'm glad I decided to reinvest my winnings. Not bad interest in 2 months, 100%.

Does anybody know the odds of winning a £100,000, or £50,000, or £25,000 prize? Has to be better than the several billions to one required for the million top prize - I think a £30,000 holding has approximately a 1 in half million chance for that.

This now appears to be a rich holders club. The majority of winners now come from those who hold large amounts £20,000 plus. If you have original £1 to £10 bonds you have little or no chance. It is far easier for ERNIE to generate a number in a large block of numbers, than in single or small blocks.

I bought £5 bond in September 1964 which hasn't won a thing! Since I have added to my bonds and have won the odd £50 and £100 but never anything larger.

My sister-in-law insisted on giving me £100.00 as a thank-you which I didn't want. I told her I'd buy £100.00 worth of Premium Bonds, and if I won we'd go half each. Imagine how speechless I was when it won £50.00 in the very first available draw! Even more remarkable was the fact that it was all I had in premium bonds. The odds of that happening are incalculable!
